LONG TERM DISABILITY
Long Term Disability (LTD) coverage provides partial income replacement when employees are unable to work due to a prolonged illness or injury.

PSET offers a variety of flexible options for group disability insurance, allowing employers to customize coverage based on benefit percentages, maximum benefits, elimination periods, and more.
STRONG POLICY LANGUAGE
One key aspect of our policy is the use of the word “or” in the definition of disability. This allows employees to qualify for benefits if they are unable to perform most of their job duties or if they are earning less than 80% of their Predisability Earnings while working in their own occupation.

GUARANTEE ISSUE
Coverage up to $10,000 per month is available without submitting evidence of insurability. Evidence may be required for higher amounts.
PARTIAL DISABILITY IS ALWAYS COVERED
During the Benefit Waiting Period and the Own Occupation Period, you are partially disabled when you work in your own occupation but, as a result of physical disease, injury, pregnancy or mental disorder, you are unable to earn 80% or more of your indexed predisability earnings in that occupation.
OWN OCCUPATION BENEFIT PERIOD
Definition of Disability for the entire benefit period is built in feature for all Professionals.

SHORT TERM DISABILITY
A PSET Short Term Disability plan can provide the critical income protection needed during the Elimination Period of the Long Term Disability coverage. PSET plans offer benefits that are payable on the first day following an accident or the eighth day of an illness.
PSET provides 24-hour coverage for Disabilities that occur on or off the job.
DEFINITION OF DISABILITY
A person is Disabled if, as a result of Sickness, Injury or Pregnancy, that person is unable to perform with reasonable continuity the material duties of his or her Own Occupation.
DEFINITION OF PARTIAL DISABILITY
A person is Partially Disabled when he or she continues to work for the employer but, as a result of Sickness, Injury or Pregnancy, is unable to earn more than a determined percentage of Pre-disability Earnings.
GROUP LIFE INSURANCE
The PSET Group Life age reduction schedule allows for a larger and more meaningful benefit, at older ages, than is commonly available with other plans. Our policy also provides for an accelerated benefit in the case of a terminal illness.
